What
a great place to go with the scouts. We have a number of
activities to participate in and methods of completing
requirements for scout badges.
Get
Lost in the cornfield maze and complete the requirements to earn
an official Maize
Patch.
The Maize patch is earned by maneuvering through the maze
using only the girl scout, boy scout, or cub scout
passport.
What is a passport? A
passport is a list of ten multiple choice questions about a
specific subject or theme. Each multiple choice answer has a
direction (i.e., turn left, turn right, turn around then left,
etc.) following it. The questions are numbered 1 thru 10.
Each question corresponds to a numbered "passport post"
(a fence post) that is found within the maze. When you
come to post #1, for example, you read question #1. You then
choose the answer you believe is correct. If it is correct,
then you are given the correct direction to turn which is the
shortest route to the next post. If you choose the wrong
answer, you may be sent the wrong way or the right way.
Maize Patch price: $1
Orienteering Merit Badge.
